HELEN TYLER
Helen Tyler started playing euphonium with Rotherham Schools Youth band and quickly progressed to the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain aged sixteen. She is currently in her final year studying Baritone at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester under the supervision of Steven Mead. After being a member of Black Dyke Brass Band for two years she accepted the principal Baritone chair at Fodens Band, a position she still holds. Helen is currently making a name for herself as a leading baritone player after performing in Lahti 2002, Finland and most recently ITEC 2002 in N. Carolina U.S.A. and is looking forward to future ventures which will raise the profile of her instrument.
